CAN/ULC S135 testing completed

Just Biofiber has successfully completed the CAN/ULC S135 testing.

The hemp lime insulation material identified in this report, when tested at an approximate thickness 55 mm, meets the Total Heat Release requirement outlined in article 3.1.5.1 of the National Building Code. The material affords a Total Heat Release of 1.0 MJ/m2 and a Total Smoke Extinction Area average of 0.2 m2, when tested according to CAN/ULC-S135 at an imposed heat flux of 50 kW/m2.

Teresa, a Chartered Professional Accountant, has over 17 years of managerial and financial accounting experience. She has worked with both large and small businesses across a wide range of industries providing leadership support with corporate controllership, internal process development, governance and tax planning. Alberta Innovates Bio Solutions application

Just Biofiber has submitted an application to Alberta Innovates Bio Solutions, for Alberta Bio Future Product and Technology Commercialization.
The program is aimed at helping Alberta-based companies with pre-commercial or commercial development of new bioindustrial products or bioindustrial technologies. A minimum of $250,000 and a maximum of $1,000,000 is available for projects that need pilot or scale-up work or prototype development and will be ready for the market within three years. We are very excited about this funding prospect to assist with our demonstration phase that will see automation of the key production components for readiness to a full scale production facility.
