I have been reading about energy efficient homes for some time now. An organization called building science has designed a “perfect wall system” that controls water, air, vapour and heat. Insulation is placed on the outside of the building just outside of the water, air and vapour barrier. A house must be air tight to be efficient. Your blocks do not seem to address the air tightness criterion since they are breathable. Am I missing something about the blocks, can they be finished with something to make them air tight?

Because our blocks are so breathable allowing for more air circulation and a healthier home. We apply coatings to lower the permeability of the wall to standards that were set out by researchers in our industry.

We appreciate your questions, and on behalf of the team, we apologize for the late reply.

If you are interested in partnering with us we would love to hear from you.
